Take a lunch break before resuming your journey to Murchison Falls National Park, the largest and most stunning park in Uganda, covering an area of 3,893 km². The park is divided by the Victoria Nile, which flows from east to west for approximately 115 km.

In addition to its wildlife, this park is famous for its scenic beauty, featuring rolling savannahs, tall grasslands, dense bush woodlands, and the spectacular waterfalls that give the park its name. The waterfall occurs where the Nile narrows from 50 meters to rush through a 7-meter gorge, plunging 45 meters in a breathtaking drop. This phenomenon is considered the most powerful natural water flow on the planet. Upstream from Murchison Falls are the Karuma Falls, where the Nile tumbles over 23 kilometers of rapids, offering some of the most thrilling white-water experiences in Africa.
