Day 4 Amboseli National Park – Tarangire National Park

Savor an early breakfast before checking out of your lodge with packed lunch and proceed to Tarangire National Park one of the largest national parks in the Northern circuit of Tanzania.

This park is a breathtaking protected area that features massive herds of elephants, wide-open plains, and some impressive giant Baobab trees, making it a perfect spot to see more wildlife with fewer tourists around. The park gets its name from the Tarangire River that flows through it, serving as a vital source of fresh water for the wildlife in the Tarangire Ecosystem during the dry season.

Herds of elephant scratch the dry river bed for underground streams, while migratory wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, impala, gazelle, hartebeest and eland, crowd the shrinking lagoons. It’s the greatest concentration of wildlife outside the Serengeti ecosystem. The one place in Tanzania where country antelope such as the stately fringe eared Oryx and peculiar long necked gerenuk are regularly observed. Location: 118 km (75 miles) southwest of Arusha and 2,600 km² (1,005 sq. miles) in size.

Enjoy an enroute game drive as you make your way to your lodge. Finally, conclude your day with a delightful dinner and a restful overnight.

Day 5 Tarangire National Park - Lake Manyara National Park

Wake up and enjoy a delicious breakfast while looking out over the plains dotted with hundreds of Africa’s prehistoric ‘Trees of Life’ – the baobab, then prepare to discover the cultural and natural wonders of Tanzania. Take a picturesque drive to Mto Wa Mbu, a cultural hub that provides an intriguing glimpse into Tanzania's rich heritage. Nestled between Manyara and Ngorongoro, this distinctive region draws individuals from all 120 tribes, forming a lively cultural mosaic. Enjoy local Tanzanian cuisine at one of the eateries in Mto wa Mbu.

Continue your journey to Lake Manyara National Park - one of Tanzania’s smaller wilderness enclaves, a thin green band of forest flanked on one side by sheer cliffs and on the other by white-hot shores of an ancient soda lake. Feeding on undergrowth or dozing in dry riverbeds are the country’s densest populations of buffalo and elephant. Hippo’s wallow along the lake’s borders and a dazzling variety of birds fly overhead. Although Lake Manyara National Park lions are fond of trees (perhaps envious of their close competitor - leopards!), this is pretty rare, and it is not often spotted on every safari.

This park provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Depending on season, you might see thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as pelicans, cormorants, and storks.

Enjoy scenic drive as you make your way to your lodge in Karatu. Finally, conclude your day with a delightful dinner and a restful overnight.

But today, the park is set to be revealed right before you.

Enjoy a delicious picnic and spend the entire day out exploring the rolling plains of the Serengeti National Park. After an action-packed day in the bush, make your way back to the camp in time for a delectable dinner and comfortable night, surrounded by the captivating wilderness and sounds of the Serengeti!

Day 7 : Full day in Serengeti National Park

Savor an early breakfast at your lodge ready for an exciting day ahead. After breakfast, check out with packed lunch and embark on a full-day game drive in this remarkable Serengeti National Park - renowned as one of Tanzania’s premier wildlife destinations.

Serengeti National Park is close to 15,000 square kilometers in size and a World Heritage Site teeming with wildlife all year round. Witness millions of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles and elands on a mass trek to quench their thirst for water and graze. During this great cyclical movement, these ungulates move around the ecosystem in a seasonal pattern, defined by rainfall and grass nutrients.

The spectacle of predator versus prey dominates Tanzania’s greatest park. Golden-manned lion prides feast on the abundance of plain grazers. Solitary leopards haunt in the acacia trees lining the river banks, while a high density of cheetahs prowls the south-eastern plains. Almost uniquely, all three African jackal species occur here, alongside the spotted hyena and a host of more elusive small predators, ranging from the insectivorous aardwolf to the beautiful serval cat.

As the evening unfolds, you will have the opportunity to exit the vehicle and immerse yourself in the wilderness, reminiscing about the day's adventures with your cherished companions over a sundowner. Seek out an idyllic vantage point to witness the sun gracefully descend beyond the horizon, drink in hand, chilled to perfection. Observe the hues transform as the golden light cascades over the African bush. This experience stands as one of the most unforgettable highlights of any African safari!
